Bit of a colour theme lately, but tonight we move onto metallic green

Some of you may wonder what it is like to be an alt fashion designer, much as Dix and myself sometimes muse upon the comings and goings of alt models and photographers. Therefore I am adding a weekly diary to our website to share what we do.

  This week we talk colours, now that might seem like something trivial, but when of us is virtually colour blind (Dix) and the other is OCD about colours clashing, it can cause uproar. For a start I adore colour, and when I come up with a design that might require  a colour we haven’t used before I am like a slavery puppy with a slipper. If Dix tries to take it away from me once I have my beady eye on, say, lilac for example, firstly I give the big sad eyes. Sometimes this works, other times I can be chastised gently thus,

‘Leafie we have around 25 colours, we don’t need another, do it in a different one we already have!!’ to which I reply,

‘but,but,but it’s soooooo pretty, and it won’t look right in another colour’

sometimes this does the trick because he wants some peace, and I get my colour for Dix to play with and calm resumes, sometimes I need to bring out the big guns and whimper a tad, sometimes I just plain LOSE :)

Now onto my ocdness, ever seen that detective programme Monk? well, i am Monk, Dix is my long suffering sidekick who hands out the wet wipes, if he dares to put an olive green next to a baby pink I am so over wrought I become quite shaky,wring my hands and witter endlessly about how he ‘CAN”T POSSIBLY think they go together’
 I didn’t realise I was so hung up on this so much until we began Fetasia and I became a 5 foot 1 drama queen stamping my furry slippers . So I would like to give Dix a big round of applause for keeping his cool when I have one of my colour tantrums.

In other Fetasia news, the much awaited TARDIS dress is pretty much finished for all you Dr Who fans. Hopefully a little video of it will be available soon as it has a special touch:) Easter is nearly upon and Bunneh outfits are proving popular.
